LOGO: Scroll down to see the image in the lower left corner. From 2010-2019, Lavender's logo was a cropped Man Ray photograph ("The Kiss," 1935), the same image that was used on the cover of the second edition of Lillian Faderman’s great feminist classic, Surpassing the Love of Men: Romantic Friendship and Love Between Women from the Renaissance to the Present. The current logo is a cropped version of Leslie Satterfield's photograph, I thought she was mine (2), 2008, published in Lavender's second issue.
